Assisting with the production and testing of assemblies (Manufacturing of cables, harnesses, power supplies, PCB assemblies and instrumentation)
Performing service, repair and calibration of instruments. Traveling, including internationally, to operate, trouble-shoot and repair instruments. Developing and maintaining process documentation and quality control procedures/ Assist with performing schematic design entry and PCB layouts. Assist with calibration instruments and processing of acquired imagery. Data processing in support of our systems.


Qualifications for
the position:

BSc. Electrical Engineering or Diploma in Electronics Engineering Technology (or equiv.)
Proficiency in soldering electronics assemblies (through-hole and surface mount.
Experience with electronic lab equipment including oscilloscopes, multi-meters, signal generators, logic analyzers, etc.
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong desire for international travel for extended periods (up to 3 week rotations, multiple times per year)
Hold or be eligible to hold a valid Passport
Pass a Police Security Clearance Application
Willing to install and operate equipment in small aircraft
Eligibility for registration with APEGA / ASET

Electrical / Electronics Engineer

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

PCB schematic design and layouts, as well as VHDL design
Assist with complete instrument designs, developing and maintaining process documentation and quality control procedures, assist with production / service QA processes, assist with calibrating instruments and processing of acquired imagery.  Data processing in support of our systems, traveling, including internationally, trouble-shoot and assist clients, assist in other parts of the business where appropriate.


Qualifications for
the position:

BSc. Electrical Engineering
Hardware design experience with FPGAs and VHDL design experience.
Strong aptitude for reading schematics and diagnosing / troubleshooting electronic assemblies, systems and software.
Understanding and ability to develop communication software that uses TCP/IP, Ethernet, RS-232 and USB hardware and protocols
Experience with electronic lab equipment including oscilloscopes, multi-meters, signal generators, logic analyzers, etc.

Geomatics / Data Imaging Scientist / Analyst

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Calibration and radiometric processing algorithm development (IDL)
Calibration and processing GUI software development (IDL), processing/analysis of imagery data in support of imaging systems. Sensor characterization and calibration (hyperspectral and broadband imagers). Traveling internationally to install / operate airborne imagers in small planes to acquire data. Up to 25% of time spent on operations / training / support missions internationally. QA of data and instruments. General support for other ITRES’s divisions (service, marketing, production, etc.)

Software Engineer / Developer – Instrument Control

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

General support for other ITRES divisions (service, marketing, production, etc.)
Developing and integrating software for ITRES hyperspectral and thermal imagers, multi-instrument command and control software, remote sensing data analysis tools, responsible for full life-cycle development (plan, design, verify, certify) of desktop and embedded software for ITRES’ instruments, typically done in C/C++


Qualifications for
the position:

At least 5 years of experience in software development in Windows and Linux environment
Strong programming background in C/C++, creating software for real-time systems, hands-on coding on CPU and DSP
Experience supporting all stages of the development cycle
Understanding and ability to develop communication software that uses TCP/IP, Ethernet, RS-232 and USB hardware and protocols
Familiarity with software configuration management tools, version control, defect tracking tools, and peer review

Perform mechanical design and drafting.
Able to work shop tools, to provide custom mechanical solutions as needed such as brackets and mounts for aircraft. Fulfill work orders for production (manufacturing of instruments, cables and harnesses).  Develop and maintain process documentation, reports and quality control procedures. Build bill of materials and assembly drawings. Work with suppliers and vendors. Generate bid request, sales, manufacturing orders etc. using the inventory system (Fishbowl inventory).
